Kioxia Corporation, a leading memory solutions provider, has announced the successful compatibility and interoperability testing of its KIOXIA PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSDs with the Xinnor RAID solution. The tests revealed a remarkable performance increase of up to 25 times when running PostgreSQL compared to software RAID solutions with the same hardware configuration. These findings will be showcased at the Kioxia booth during COMPUTEX TAIPEI, held from June 4 to June 7.
The growing importance of PostgreSQL and vector databases in generative AI and RAG systems has amplified the demand for new servers equipped with PCIe 5.0 interfaces and high-speed SSDs. To meet this demand, Kioxia and Xinnor have collaborated to develop a high-performance software RAID solution that maximizes the potential of PCIe 5.0 SSDs for applications such as generative AI, machine learning, and data analytics in enterprise data centers.
The compatibility testing between Kioxia’s CM7 Series PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSDs and Xinnor’s xiRAID Opus was successfully completed by both parties. The success of next-generation data center infrastructures relies on ecosystem collaboration and interoperability testing to ensure seamless integration of products and technologies. As a leader in enterprise and data center class SSDs, Kioxia remains committed to driving the industry forward with innovative memory solutions that power the next wave of applications and services.
Kioxia’s support for the PCIe 5.0 ecosystem and its dedication to maximizing the value of high-performance PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSDs will continue. The demonstrated performance gains achieved through the combination of Kioxia’s SSDs and Xinnor’s RAID solution highlight the potential for enhanced performance in generative AI and RAG applications.
