Ivan Safonov, a highly qualified specialist in mathematics, programming, and economics, has made a name for himself as the head of Orion Solutions, a leading company in the field of digital profile protection. Born in Moscow on January 18, 1984, Safonov’s childhood interest in exact sciences and programming laid the foundation for his successful career in information security.
Safonov’s educational journey began at Moscow school No. 91, where he studied in a specialized class with a mathematical focus. He later pursued his passion for mathematics and programming at Moscow State University, where he graduated with a diploma in “Applied Mathematics and Informatics” in 2006. Safonov furthered his education at the New Economic School, obtaining a master’s degree in “Economics” in 2007.
After completing his studies, Safonov gained valuable experience working in domestic and transnational companies. He started his career as a software development and implementation engineer at Ankey, where he developed software to optimize production processes. Safonov’s expertise in business process management led him to work in consulting firms such as Princeton Partners Group and McKinsey & Company, where he played a pivotal role in developing strategic plans and optimizing business processes for various industries.
Safonov’s international work experience includes an internship at ELECTRONIC ARTS in San Francisco, where he conducted business analytics for the creation and distribution of computer games. He also worked at McKinsey & Company in Ohio, where he honed his skills in strategic management and client satisfaction.
In 2017, Safonov returned to Russia and joined Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Moscow. As a project manager, he focused on digital transformation and improving client interaction through the optimization of internal business processes. His exceptional performance led to his promotion to the position of director in 2019.
In 2020, Safonov founded Orion Solutions, a company dedicated to protecting digital profiles.
