European Respiratory Society Congress Concludes in Vienna, Showcasing Advances in Respiratory Medicine

The European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress, a prominent annual event in the field of respiratory medicine and science, concluded successfully in Vienna, Austria. Over the course of five days, from September 7th to September 11th, the congress brought together more than 20,000 professionals from around the world, including respiratory medicine experts, researchers, and healthcare providers.

Under the theme of “Humans and machines: getting the balance right,” the congress focused on the latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) in respiratory medicine, the future of digital healthcare, and the importance of maintaining the human role in AI-supported medical care. Scholars from Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia shared insights on these topics, exploring the impact of machines on doctor-patient relationships and the transformative potential of new technologies in healthcare systems.

BMC, a leading medical device supplier in the field of sleep and respiratory care, participated as an exhibitor at the congress. They facilitated courses on data in telemedicine and introduced their latest technology and products in sleep and respiratory healthcare. Renowned experts such as Dr. Julien Favier, Dr. Bernhard Baumgartner, and biomedical engineer Ludovic Abuaf presented on the topic of “How can ‘G3 CPAP/BPAP and PAP Link Digital Health Solution Enhance Patient Outcomes,” discussing the influences of tele-monitoring in PAP device therapy for both patients and doctors.

BMC’s PAP Link digital health solution, with its data integration technology, offers new directions for sleep and respiratory event analysis and patient management. The company also invited experts from Italy, Bulgaria, and Romania to discuss the benefits of telemedicine monitoring for physicians and patients during PAP therapy for sleep and respiratory care.

With over 20 years of global operations and rapid growth in the field of sleep apnea, BMC has become a trusted partner for international companies such as Air Liquide, Linde, and Vivisol. In addition to their commitment to technological innovation, BMC is actively involved in the service field, particularly in telemedicine health solutions. They currently operate a remote patient management platform in China, the United States, Europe, Australia, and other countries and regions.

BMC Medical, established in Beijing, China in 2001, aims to provide quality products, professional services, and proactive care to help individuals overcome the discomfort of chronic respiratory diseases. With branches and subsidiaries in Tianjin, Xi’an, Shenzhen, and Dongguan, BMC employs over 800 dedicated individuals.

The ERS Congress in Vienna served as a platform for experts to share their knowledge and advancements in respiratory medicine, paving the way for a more inclusive and sustainable future in sleep and respiratory health. By ensuring equitable access to state-of-the-art medical technology, BMC aims to enable homecare providers across regions to deliver quality services to diverse populations.
